Tucked away in the mangrove flats near the ruined sultans’ palace at Mahurubi is this small boatyard. Like many others on the island it provides a glimpse of these beautiful and sometimes ancient vessels when they are beached. This is a great opportunity to appreciate their colossal size and incredible hand - craftsmanship.
