Wandering the streets of Stone Town is as much a feast for the senses as
the spice plantations that the island is also famous for. This young chap
seemed to be almost as overwhelmed as I was at all the colour, sounds and
smells. The Lotus flower motifs in the carvings on the doorway show the Indian
influence on the Zanzibari culture.
